I havent been playing Forza very long. Is it worth getting into manual gear changes or should I carry on using automatic? Many places say to change but by how much does it usually improve your time?

Manuel is the best way forward m8 I improved my times by around a second possibly due to the fact u can get it to the correct gear for each part of the track a big track like muggello u can easily take 1sec of using manuel than auto. also gears need to be tuned correctly so u dont have to shift up half way round a corner

Best way to test would be to start practising now then in Forza 3 Run any car you like in auto and record the time. Run Manual in any cars for a month and then re test in the first car at the same track. I bet you will be a minimum of a second if not 2 seconds faster!!

I posted this in the FM3 Demo challenge thread, but thought I would post it here also. They are talking about hotlapping the demo, but it's good advice for racing also.

I have one,

What are the main things i need to tune to acquire a good grip tune, many cars i own over steer, or spin out out of corners.

When i go through slow corners this happens what can i do to fix it?

Yeah, with Lotus helping me tune the Volvo, I managed to chop a second off my time (still a second slower than Lotus though). Thanks for the help Smile

Hey guys, I would really appreciate any help on tuning my Fit StockHatch. I just can not seem to get a set up that will let me run consistant fast laps for up to 25 laps. The handling just seems to go away to early and I end up running the end of the race 1 to 2 seconds behind my early pace.

Well, after thinking about this and have started to wonder if it is just the fact that I am running a slightly slower car than the others and this is causing me to drive the car hard to attempt to keep up with the faster cars. In turn wearing it out faster than I would if running against other fits.

I dont know, I'm kinda at a loss. Either way I'll keep showing up each week and pushing "her" for all the speed I can.

Guys,similar request to texas above.
Was wondering if one you of you tuner guys could give the old girl (94 civic ) that i'm using in the stockhatch series a look over.
Mugello club is the next race and it's just not settling in in the corners. If i were able to gift her over for a tinkering would be appreciated.
Quite a light car so that may be the prob. Best i've managed is a mid 1:03.

We're going into race 3 of a 6 race series so we are unable to change cars or builds. These are now fixed for the duration of the series. The only thing that can change from race to race are the settings for that tune.
I won't be on racing tonight but i'll try and get my car over to you. Next race monday night. Mugello short is the next track. Cheers.

Need help tuning the FWD Toyota Celica for the IFCA Spec series. The only things you can adjust on the car are tire pressure, brake balance, brake pressure and the differential. I have set the tire pressures so that the tires are at 32 psi when the tires are warmed up. How do I tune the differential?  The stock settings are 50% front and 0% rear.

If you would like me to do anything for every1 il hopefully be on thursday or friday also have a couple of tunes to give you guys for online lobbys. ones is a B class Volvo S60R very easy to drive and very competitive seems to get me loads of wins an you dont come up against people using them so its nice to beat some leaderboard cars with it, although its sittin pretty well on the Lb with top 100 times. Be nice to get a paint on it as mines pretty basic. Also a B class Fiesta. D class yaris. an Hopefully a A class Ford GT. would likesome requests for cars an classes to try out an get to be good onlnie racecars.
Unca as for the diff personally i would go for a lower accell setting possibly between 14% + 25% hard to say without testing it. As for why i would do that is the lower setting frees up the wheels a little bit more so you can carry it through corners slightly quicker not sure if the explination is right but that is from feel , also it seems to make the car turn it better
