Quite possibly myself (edit)

How do you know when you have too much or too little body roll? I generally follow the idea that you want the car to be as low as possible and springs as soft as possible, as long as the shocks arent bottoming out. But Im not really sure how to nail down my total anti-roll bar values. I'll set them independently so the car rotates like I want and them move them both at the same time to find total roll resistance.

I was messing around with a Corrado the other night to practice the stock hatch races with you guys. This was on Mugello club (I knew you guys had a solid 1:02 in mind for a goal). The inside of the right tire would get up to 185 or so, with the outside at 155 or so. This is after Ive set camber so that the left tire was equal across the patch. I also maxed out caster in an atempt to gain some temp on the outside of the right tire. My intial thought was that the left tire was rolling over itself due to too much body roll. But heavier spring and ARB changes only had the effect of worse handling and slower times.

I feel like I have a decent understanding of what does what as far as adjustments. Just not how to interpret the telemetry and know exactly what to change. If the outside tire is losing traction first, then its too much roll???? If the inside tire is losing traction first, then its not enough roll????

Have you guys noticed similar findings with these hatch cars? My 94 civic tune is very similar.

mugello short consist's of 5 right handers and 2 left handers.so the tyre temp is nothing to do with set up of car its the track m8.Do whatever you like to the car it wont change the fact its all right handers.

This morning I started messing with the 07 civic. The best I can get so far is a 1:35.1 at Motegi East. Its probably good for a mid-high 1:34 with a good lap for me. Looking at you guys' times, Im shooting for a 1:33 or low 1:34 consistently.

Can I send you my tune to give me some feedback? I know part of my problem is me, Im just curious how much of it is my tune. Do you have a tune for this car I can try out?

This one defintely feels more predictable than either the older civic or the corrado I was messing with. And I think its the one I want to spend some time with.

Colin looked at it and said he wouldnt change anything. I think he put down a 1:29.9 with it. Looks like I need some practicing

I managed to get it down to 1:33.33 without touching anything. There's more to be had on the track and thats my fault. Regardless, now I think its fast. The top of the c class LB is low 1:29s

he said it was 1:32.9, not 1:29.

yes learning the tracks does help chuck lol,you can have the fastest car but if you dont know the track and were to change gears and what gears to be in then the car doesnt matter...watch some replays of the top guys and see were to change gears that usually saves some time and also keeping it in a higher gear when there's a decent straight after the corner usually is faster.ive probably done over 100,000 laps(of the fm2 tracks) and im still learning the new ones now-practise-practise-practise.....

Yeah it seems as though 1:33.33 is my barrier now. I can make up time in some parts against the ghost, but lose it in others. My biggest thing is lacking consistency. I think thats why Ive been having a hard time with the tuning.

if any of you guys in the stock hatch series are practicing, let me know. Id like to test thing out against some of the other series cars. And show off my new paint

I tried you tune last night chuck, and it seems to be good.
I use the MS wheel and I only ran a few laps on Motegi East, but was getting in the low 1:33's with it. My best with my tune was a 1:32,9, but I couldn't get better than a 1:33.6 in the race.

I then took it to Silverstone International and it seemed a little better than my tune. I got a 1:31.8, where my best with my tune was a 1:32.6

The biggest problem with the 2007 Civic is that it has too much weight. My car is 2457 lbs. which keeps the top end slowed down and also the acceleration.

The '04 Civic weighs in at 1978. That's 500 lbs. lighter. SH and I were going to use the "94 Civic, but I could not keep the rear end behind me on the corners using my racing wheel.

If SH and I could take at least 300 lbs off, we would be closer to Cossie and and JR's times.

The 2007 Honda Civic is not a good car for the StockHatch.
