May pick it up based on my demo experience.

I don't care too much for the Need for Speed games and that is what Horizon looks like

Downloading the demo right now. Do not see any longevity to this game.. Not like Forza4. Most people would be bored of Horizon a month after release.

I was on the fence when I first ran the demo, but I find myself going back to it - even tolerating the complete intro and events to get to the free roam. I'm impressed as to how the F4 handling physics have translated to a game that's targeted to a less 'sim-like' racing crowd. Took the Viper during a Rival race of the Dam Challenge, and was able to explore all the roads in that map section. Found the 'secret' road to the base of the dam, and drove around for a good 30 min, enjoying the viper, before I crossed the line, ending the event.

Am somewhat disappointed in the damage model, and would like more of a penalty for some of the major collisions. I'm not that drawn to the Festival, Bad Azz Street challange aspect, but I can see a lot of potential for on line, specified lobbies for a variety of rally, and road racing. The opportunity to drive fast on the open highway, and back gravel roads is another dimension for fun racing.

I'm in - and will be exploring the full game on Oct 23rd.

I tried the Demo and liked it OK.
Don't know if I will buy the game though.

I've been to Colorado and Red Oak area and it was fun driving around the area.

Not impressed with this game at all. I'm not really a big fan of NFS type games, and this demo showed me nothing that made me want to buy it.

I don't think of this as a NFS type game at all. The true comparison is with Test Drive Unlimited. A lot of the features are copied right out of TDU. I think of it as TDU with better physics and less annoying in-game characters.

If it has Forza or turn10 on it I have to buy it to keep my collection full. This is just a fun game, not the beat your head against a wall to get a good qual. time so your not in the last lobby :-)
