I checked Best Buy and Forza 4 is available for Preorder for $59.99 to be released on 10,18, 2011.

I'm only at 78.5% of 3, I better hurry if I am going to finish 3 before 4 gets here

I'll wait a bit before even thinking of Forza 4. The Preorder cars are pretty lame IMHO. I'm not expecting much form Forza 4 though. Just more of the same and less of the good. Like the last two.

I'm getting close to 70% and on year 10 I think.. There's not much of an incentitive to go past Year 5 in Forza 3. I'm not expecting the physics to be much better in Forza 4, since we will be able to move our Profiles from Forza 3 to forza 4.

Does that mean we will not be able to play Forza 3 if we move our Profiles?
Maybe a reason to start over in Forza 4.

physics wont be too much different prolly, but I am hoping for a good improvment, just the idea that they are adding the car club system back is a major plus.

"Confirmed plans for Limited Collector’s Edition
Developer Turn 10 and Microsoft have started to prime the E3 news machine already with big news regarding the release of Forza 4 later this year. As we have already told you, while Forza 4 will offer some Kinect support, it isn’t mandatory; so those who don’t want to use it will not have to use it. While some may say this is the best news of all, the bigger news might be that Forza 4 will support a Forza 3 profile import.
Now what will you get with the Forza 3 profile import, you might ask? Well, based on your player level and the number of cars that you have in your garage in Forza 3, Forza 4 will automatically award you gift cards that will be added to you Forza 4 garage. In addition, based on your player level, skill, and credits, Forza 4 will also award Forza 3 players with additional bonus gifts and credits to start out with. So, all of the work that you did in Forza 3 will not go to waste when you start playing Forza 4!

It is confirmed that there will be a Limited Collector’s Edition of Forza 4, but no details were released as to what it will include; instead, you will have wait until they are closer to release for all of the perks that you will get with the Limited Collector’s Edition of Forza 4 to be announced. We suspect, however, from what our sources tell us that the package could be very similar to what we saw with the Limited Edition release of Forza 3.

One of the most interesting announcements is that a special car pack will be included in the first production run of Forza 4; it will include some additional cars that will not be available in copies of the game later down the road. Apparantly, as far as Kinect in game is concerned. It can be used as a "head tracker". It will follow your head movements, so if you look around a bend/corner, the screen will follow your view. Like a helmet cam I guess. This will be available when used in conjunction with a cotroller or wheel.

Also......Car Clubs are back !!!!! and paints will transfer from FM3 to FM4 !!

I was taking a swig of water when I got to the "special cars" list and almost choked on it. There are some heavy hitters available for limited time!

The preorder cars are just painted versions of the cars like on Forza 3. As for the special cars, nothing jumps at me at all. Maybe the RUF. That's about is. I'll keep an eye out next week during E3 and see hat crops up.

Well, according to the brief announcement at E3 today, Forza 4 will be released on October 11, 2011

Here is from an article on Topgear.com.

First is that Forza Motorsport 4 will include a perfectly-realised version of our Top Gear track on the Xbox 360 for the first time. And that's definitely the UK track in Dunsfold with the plane and the studio and the shambolic production office full of crisps and everything, to quash some of the internet rumours currently flying.

Second is the announcement of the new "Autovista" mode. You'll be able to explore cars rendered in over one million polygons in a full 360 degrees "showroom environment". If you've got Kinect, you'll be able to crouch down, open the doors, check out the engine and walk around the car (although it will still work with a controller). And all to the dulcet tones of our very own Jeremy, who'll deliver his own opinionated take on a selection of the models as you fiddle.
That last part sounds interesting lol.

From what I've seen and read....I am really looking forward to this release.

One interesting aspect that I saw, was some kind of free roaming world tour. It looked like you could take your car and go to different tracks all around the world ?.

Also, some cars will have retractable wings you can operate during a race.

This really seems like a step up from FM3.

The game's career mode is packaged up as a world tour which sees players dot from track to track around the globe. When they go to a location, the choice of race events available there is based around the cars the player has in the garage, as well as the cars they use the most. Players who picked up a copy of Forza 3 start with advantages over newcomers, as Forza 4 reads in their profile, giving them extra cars and extra credits.

There's also a bit more variety in the types of races available; aside from straight bumper-to-bumper competitions, there are Drift races, multi-heat races and Autocross. Each race gifts the player credits and unlocks new vehicles. This time, though, players have a choice of three cars to pick from so they aren't forced into owning a vehicle they won't use.

The World Tour mode also changes its difficulty based on how well the player does. From one race to the next, Forza 4 constructs a trending line and adjusts the difficulty accordingly. The AI also upgrades itself and the developers have limited the types of cars that players can bring to specific races, keeping everything on a much more level playing field.

Community has always been important to Forza and Turn 10 has added a couple of new features. First off, there are Car Clubs, which are pretty much as you'd expect. Players can start a club and can add people from their friends list and create a shared garage. Club members can challenge each other, swap paint liveries, gift each other credits and customise cars. It also allows them to collaborate on creating dream machines in the club's motor pool.

Then there's the new Rivals mode, where players can challenge other people either from their club or the Forza 4 leaderboards. Each challenge has a bounty depending on how hard it is to beat, based on the players' skill level. If they manage to successfully beat another player's challenge, that player will receive a notification telling them, and will be given the opportunity to challenge right back.

ya it is, and i was thinking rats that is kinda steep. But then if I didn't get it, when the game comes out, I would be kicking myself for not getting it..... SO I just got back from Gamestop and where I upgraded to the Special edition! It is 10 dollars to preorder it rather than the normal 5

Good find Sol. So a $90 Microsoft wheel?! Nice. I have used a few Thrustmasters. They are pretty decent. Better than that Old white microsoft one!

YEA! Best Buy lowered the price for the LCE Forza 4 to $79.95. They were selling it for $89.95 for some reason.

The only reason that I preordered from BB is that I had a $25 gift card. We can't pick it up from the Store though, so I'll have to wait a few days for the mailman to bring it to me.
