Well, apparantly GT5 will be available on Nov 24th in the US and EU. Here are some comments made about the game:

Dynamic time change? On three to four tracks, depending on whether you count variations or not.

Dynamic weather on eleven track, including variations (three if those being Charmonix!).

Total cars 1,031 500-600 of these are Japanese

220 great cars. 811 that suck.

Only 20 cars that can be race modded. 1011 (!!!!) that can't.

811 cars that can't even get their rims changed....

Will still probably be a better game than Forza 3.

I still need to get a PS3 and the game. If I had one I would be more excited about it. The game looks simply amazing. I will be on it within six months.......Hopefully.

Well i bought my PS3 back in March when GT5 was originally supposed. I dont use my PS3 for gaming because i hate the controller, but its great as a media centre for watching Blu Rays, and downloading movies.

Looking into getting one of these though...

I won't be getting GT5 due to not having a PS3 plus the expense of needing a racing wheel that works with GT5.

I will stay with Xbox 360, depending on how Forza 4 comes out.

Yeah noticed that...but i can pick up a Wired Controller for about £15 here, plus the £15 for the adapter. So £30 quid isnt too bad considering i really can't play my PS3 due to its useless excuse for a controller.

If I had the money I think I would buy a fancy wheel and pedals and forget the PS3 Forza will always be around for years to come.

It is funny how I have always hated PS3 and always dogged on it and now I want 1 because of 1 game, stupid. Too bad I don't have any money and wont be able to afford it.
And I would have to do was speed is going to do. Thier controller is an utter piece of garbage.

I wouldnt buy a PS3 for GT5 alone. Its good for playing Blu Rays and its good for an all round media centre. Having GT5 on it is just a bonus.

I have been a 360 guy and a Forza player (much prefer 360 as a gaming rig).  I just nabbed a ps3 and GT5 last night mainly for the blue ray and certain games.  The menus in GT5 suck but the graphics and handling of the cars are amazing.  I much prefer how the cars feel in GT5 over Forza 3.  GT has damage modeling but you will be hard pressed to find it.  You can smash walls all you want and maybe end up with a bent hood.  AI still sucks.  But overall I like it a lot more than Forza.  Plus.  MUCH better wheel options on the PS3.

I don't own the game, but read that as you progress in the game, the damage shown get's much better.

I'm hoping to play it sometime after the 4th of Jan.
It was one of the gifts I got Christmas but my ps3 is down in NC and I'm stuck here at my parents in Michigan Sad . It's great spending time with the family though.
Also sol great looking 911 makes me miss my 944 Razz
