| IFCA 2010 DRIVERS LICENCESeries Organiser : Chilledheat Series Support Team : IFCA Race Officials This event will only take place on Wednesdays. Times are subject to Race Official availability, which will be found in the current weeks testing thread With the many aspects that the IFCA is involved in, ranging from the best in online racing via our Official Events to the more fun and jovial IFCA World Rankings where drivers can settle their tongue in cheek rivalries on the track, we had yet to incorporate an event where drivers could literally test themselves against a pre-defined standard of driving skill, until now! The IFCA Drivers Licence is a for-fun event aimed at broadening our appeal amongst the Forza Motorsport 3 and IFCA community by incorporating different skills through a testing rule-set in order for the driver to gain recognition for being fast, but also, and perhaps more importantly, clean, within a controlled environment Using a specifically built car, drivers will contest 3 different challenges in which they will attempt to beat the target times as designed by the testing team. These challenges are significantly different in terms of whats required, as they specialise in the different fundamentals of driving ability, focusing on speed and cornering, but also control and approach So lets learn what's involved! DRIVERS LICENCE INFORMATIONTHE CAR | 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX - B-497
Power : 279 hp Torque : 284 lb-ft Weight : 2,636 lbs | Build - if its not listed, you can not do it Engine & PowerRace Air Filter Race Exhaust Race Valves Platform & HandlingRace Brakes Race Springs and Dampners Race Front Anti-Roll Bars Race Rear Anti-Roll Bars Race Roll Cage Race Weight Reduction DrivertrainRace Clutch Race Transmission Race Driveline Race Differential Tires & RimsRace Tire Compound Largest Front Tire Width Largest Rear Tire Width Aero & AppearanceRace Front Bumper Race Rear Wing This car is fully tuneable! THE CHALLENGES | Laps | Damage Difficulty | Time | | Challenge 1 - Catalunya School | 6 | Simulation | 0:46.400 | | Challenge 2 - Sunset Club | 6 | Simulation | 1:03.100 | | Challenge 3 - Sedona Club | 6 | Simulation | 1:12.600 | | | | 3:02.100 | ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONAll test sessions are to be conducted by IFCA Race Officials only All 3 challenges must be completed within the same test session for the result to be legitamate. You cannot complete the challenges over different days for example All times must be achieved with certified laps The aim of the Driving Licence is to beat the combined time only. If you fail to beat a specific tracks time, then you can still continue, but must beat 1 of the remaining 2 times by the same or greater deficit in order to get below the combined time The Target Times can be achievable with all 3 transmission types, although it is more difficult for automatic users - an unavoidable situation with lack of room control to set the transmission type The Target Times can be achievable with stock tuning. Tuning will make you faster though If you fail, you can try again in another session - there are no limits to how many attempts you can make to try and pass! | I predict that there will be several EZT drivers that will have a very difficult time of beating the listed times. I tried all three tracks yesterday and could only come within 1 second below the set times. Then I looked on the Leaderboards for those tracks and found that Chilledheat, AAR GTDon, and VVV Eries only beat those times by 1 second on average. Of course they did their testing way back in November of 2009. So if any of us can beat their times, that means that we are on our way to becoming a world class Forza racer. I expect SHRacing to beat the times though. Good luck everyone. I am willing to practice with anyone that feels up to it. _________________ EZT MOTORSPORT: Pride, Honor, Integrity - Not just a team, but a way of life! Question, can you load a saved tune for each track or one tune for all three, didn't see that in the rules. |

| I kept changing the tunes again and again and again, just getting more and more frustrated. I can get a fantastic time on Cat School but the other two just elude me something fierce. LOL I just can't figure it out.. _________________ Stacey (Giggles) SCCA 2009 ITB Champion Cal Club - Car number 86 IFCA Car number - 486 You can find me on Facebook- Stacey Bertran /Supermotors.net/ streetfire.net Racy-Stacey

| Made my first attempt at this and failed by .599 beat the first track and choked the next 2. I needed to be .245 faster than the set time for the third track.
I was using Bob's tune and im not blaming bob because during testing the 1st track was what I was having troubles with not the other 2. Go figure. |

| I'd like to give this a go at some point. I've beaten the first 2 tracks times but need to have a practice on the third, then make sure I can do it regularly before going for the test. |

| Good time to try it is between series. I was trying to pass this thing when the StockHatch and SpecRacing started. I was concentrating too much on the license test and not practicing with my other cars. Once I stopped this, well, my other two did much better...though the last SpecRacing series results don't show it! lol! _________________ EZT Motorsport: P r i d e | H o n o r | I n t e g r i t y - Not just a team, but a way of life!#81 EZT Neo 45 (Michael) (Flames Boy) (Ohio Vice) Team Captain------------------------------------ 30th Overall - IFCA CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 IFCA Race Official IFCA StockHatch Series Organizer |

| I was thinking about practicing for this again. I was getting close before except on Cat School, which was harder for me. Now that I've gotten my brakes adjusted better, maybe I can overcome Cat school. _________________ EZT MOTORSPORT: Pride, Honor, Integrity - Not just a team, but a way of life!
